It's heavy enough that a certain cat hasn't yet pushed it off the counter although I will be adding rubber feet to it shortly. It has an internal raised edge which helps prevent the lid from being pushed off. The mushroom and butterfly motif and color scheme are pretty great.
I’ve been considering buying a butter dish for some time. This one looked so cute I couldn’t resist requesting one; I loved the colors and the little mushroom design. It looks great in person; the colors meet my expectations based on what I saw on the page. It is made from ceramic and has a bit of heft to it. There are bumps in the ceramic that conform to where the mushroom and plant designs are placed, which gives it a little extra dimensionality. I think the design is printed on, or was printed onto some other material that then got bonded to the lid, since there are visible halftones in the shading. They also feel a little rougher to the touch and are less shiny than the blue-green base color on the lid and the red color of the dish. The dish has a nice little texture going around the edges which I think enhances the overall look. The colors just work so well together, it’s a delight to look at it. I always buy half-sticks of butter just because it’s easier for our level of usage. The dish would definitely fit a full stick. All in all, I’m really happy with this one. It’s super cute and has a good weight to it. I’d happily recommend it to others.
This is such a sweet butter dish! The detailing is gorgeous and all the colors are just perfect. I love the dimensional quality of the imagery. The surface is glossy and smooth and it has a nice, heavier weight. The base sits evenly and the lid nestles perfectly on top. I love it!
How absolutely cute. It's made really well and has a very nice build quality. It feels like a quality product when you pick it up and feels like nice stoneware or ceramic with a nice glossy finish.
