I have been trying to get my desk and crafty supplies organized and such lately. So when I first saw this, I thought it would go great on the wall next to my desk. Well, I tell my husband I need it hung and he laughs because the wall on that side of my desk is brick. BUT I realized it is even cuter just standing on my desk! I'm currently using it for my dip pens, inks, and wax sealing set. The quality of this shelf is in fact quite impressive! It's a good, solid and sturdy wood type material that's been painted over very well. The things I noticed that may be an issue for others, first would be the hanging mechanism on the back, I don't think that picture hanging bit would be great for a shelf like this, especially if you want to place a couple things on it. The other thing, the stickers included to decorate the rest of the mushroom... adorable thought, but they don't really stick ... and it's odd that they didn't do all the spots like this, or none. The exterior they're painted on. Just my observations! But yes, I certainly would recommend this and it would make an awesome gift for any fungi lovers in your life!
I love this shelf so much, I wish I could rate it 5 stars. However, I have to be honest about its utility, and there's a design flaw that's pretty major for me. It's meant to either stand free or hang from a wall, and I really wanted to hang it. Unfortunately, I really didn't feel safe hanging it given the location of the single hanging point. As pictured, there is only one hanging point and it's attached to the narrower stem of the mushroom. I would feel much safer hanging it if there were two hanging points, one on either side of the mushroom top, or even just one on the mushroom top. This way feels way too unstable when you put anything in the top of the mushroom. That aside, this is just as cute as pictured! It's a good size, and I like that the inner dots are stickers so you can choose where to put them. The shelf itself feels pretty sturdy and well-balanced, I'm not worried about it falling apart or falling over when I stand it up. I'm using it to store my tarot decks and an assortment of knickknacks. If you do want to hang it up, though, I'd recommend installing different hanging points or making sure to balance whatever you put on the top shelf of the mushroom really carefully.
Super cute my daughter loved it. Just disappointed when she opened her gift the top of the mushroom wasn't connected to the bottom. The glue and tiny nails were not connected so I had to reglue them together.

Update: The "spots" stickers ended up falling off, just a heads up... Other than that, this is still a very much LOVED decoration for my daughter! So I got this shelf at the request of my ten year old daughter who has been redecorating her room. It matches her "live wall" of vines, and other decor PERFECTLY! I love that this is preassembled, and comes ready to hang! It comes with the necessary hardware to hang, you only need a drill as per the usual with anything like this. My daughter literally shrieked in happiness when she opened the box and saw this for the first time in person! I love that it also comes with sticker spots for the inside of the top of the mushroom, so you can customize it depending on what you are putting up in that area! There are SO MANY things you could do to make this your OWN decoration! I highly recommend this display shelf for anyone who loves the style, or has a mushroom theme going somewhere in their home!
